Our Snowy Weekend

It was a white Christmas!

Snowy street in Walker.

Ethan and one of his hockey idols!

First time with a stick on the ice! He LOVED that!

Kellen wants to skate SO bad!

We spent the Christmas Holiday driving back and forth to Walker spending time with Doug's family. Overall traveling wasn't too bad and we did most of it in the daylight. We only saw three cars in the ditch and they were all on Saturday afternoon. Saturday Ethan went skating with Zach and got to shot some pucks after spending some time skating around the rink. He did a great job and had a lot of fun with Zach!

Ethan's Christmas Program

Ethan attends preschool at Calvary Lutheran Christian Preschool. They had their Christmas program last week. Each year the teacher spends time telling the story of Jesus' birth. Then she has the kids "write" their program by having them tell the story back to her. Ethan's part was "the star shined down on baby Jesus" .....I am pretty sure that is what he said last year! Apparently that made an impression on him. Then the kids sang 2-3 songs and we had cookies and coffee together. It was pretty cute!

A staged photo of him putting up his star on the story board!

The whole class.

Grandma Joanne was able to come!

Ethan and Kellen with their early Christmas present -- Fisher Price's Nativity Set, they love it!

A Walk in the Woods Thanksgiving Weekend....just before it got REALLY cold!

Ethan's birthday! It's a big one....he's FIVE now!

Sam, Landon and Ethan having pizza!

My attempt at a cake...not as good as Jess, but he was happy!

Ethan had a pretty good birthday this year! Well, a week late anyway. For those of you that don't know he was in the hospital on his actual birthday for two days with a flu like illness and breathing problems. He recovered quickly and has been fine since. We just postponed everything for a week. He had his first friend party - a pool party! Then we had our family party the next day. Good times! Hard to believe he is five already, it was a big deal for him, he suddenly feels so much older!
