I just have to post this picture, even though it looks so awful. Please know that it was taken first thing in the morning and Ethan is not really a morning person. So, he looks kind of ornery and a little worse off then he really was! By today (two weeks out) he is pretty much bruise free and just has a little scratch on his nose! Boys are fun!!

My New Gardening Efforts for 2009

I am going to try and start some gardens in the yard this year. Here are some before and after pictures....hopefully we will get some SUN and WARMTH around here to help things get going! I actually had to cover things up twice last week because of frost. Hopefully by mid summer I will be posting some more pictures that show big, beautiful flowers! Wish me luck!

Summer Soccer

Ethan started soccer yesterday. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Middle School from 5-6. It was quite entertaining. Kellen doesn't understand that he is just there to watch or play with his ball on the side...out of the way. He wanted to be right there in the middle of it all. I will have to try and get better pictures next time. He was pretty funny! Good exercise for them both, they went to bed early that night!

Ethan has been experiencing a run of being accident prone. We are not quite sure what happened here. We were awoken to a crash and crying about 12:30 Tuesday night. I went to Ethan's room to find him lying at the foot of his bed on the floor all curled up in a ball crying, but he kind of seemed like he was half asleep still. So I picked him up and sat with him on the bed (in the dark) and soon discovered he was bleeding. So into the bathroom we went to get cleaned up. He has a nice cut across the bridge of his nose and then a big scrape on the tip of his nose. His nose is swollen and he is getting black eyes, too. The only explanation I have gotten from him is that he was playing and fell off his bed. I think his closet door was open, which is not far from the foot of his bed and I think he somehow hit the closet door as he was falling off the bed??? Aren't boys fun??!!
