There you have it! We have been busy! They boys had birthdays, I had a birthday and we had a trip to Duluth! We had a nice Thanksgiving and are trying to get ready for Christmas. Pretty much decorated, but nothing beyond that. My heart is just not in it yet. I think I am anticipating how obvious our losses are going to be when we celebrate Christmas with each of our families this year. In day to day busyness you can put that aside sometimes and try not to think about it, but it will be hard to deny at each house as we celebrate together. We do have so much to be thankful for and there are two little boys that are more than enough excited about Christmas for all of us!

Six months, six pictures

May...we spent a weekend in Duluth!

June...bathing beauties at Grandma's

July...how our dog likes to nap

August...two brothers at Itasca State Park

September...my boys taking a walk

October...Kellen is three!
(no he didn't break his arm, it's a can coozie, of course!)

You can thank me now for summarizing. I didn't feel it was necessary to go into detail to catch up!

Wow....it's been awhile.

Hmmm...Let's see, what have we been up to since April? Ethan finished preschool, had a nice summer, Kellen's completely potty trained (YAY!) and Ethan started kindergarten! That pretty much sums it up! Kellen turned 3, I turned 40 (no, not really) and Ethan will be 6 next week!! Now I need to go dig up some pictures from the past six months and after seeing the pictures on Anne & Sarah's blogs, I am on a mission to find some oldies too!

What's Happening at the Biggins

This is how we spent the day on Saturday! OUTSIDE!
It was wonderful.

The Potty Train

This is how we spent the rest of the weekend. We had our first weekend of potty training with Kellen. What does that mean? 89 trips to the bathroom on Saturday, that produced nothing (with the exception of a couple toots). It was me, Kellen and Ethan (who didn't want to be left out -- he was the coach). Kellen thought it was great fun to go in the bathroom, get his potty chair out, sit down and visit with us for awhile. Then get on his Buzz Light Year pull ups and pee in them 10 minutes later. He keeps asking where the train is? My potty train! Wish us luck!

Ethan's Animal Tracks

Ethan likes looking for animal tracks on our walks. This is what we found today.

Winter Fun in the Park

Sledding down the hill, okay down the road, but there were no cars!

Walking out on the ice

We spent part of the afternoon in one of our favorites summer spots today. It was a beautiful bright blue sky day....a little chilly, but not too bad!

Anne & Brian's Wedding, June 4, 1993

I have been going through my pictures and have had fun scanning them and remembering fun times, so I thought I would share some.

The bride & groom

Father of the bride and the nieces

Erin and Erica shortly before Erica (on the right) fell head first into the bushes, sorry I didn't get a picture of that! I was too busy laughing, I'm sure!

My own "Awkward Family Photos"

My kindergarten picture...yes, I picked my own dress AND insisted on the hairstyle. Pretty stylish, if I do say so myself!

I love this picture! Not sure what was making Tom so happy!

Our Snowy Weekend

It was a white Christmas!

Snowy street in Walker.

Ethan and one of his hockey idols!

First time with a stick on the ice! He LOVED that!

Kellen wants to skate SO bad!

We spent the Christmas Holiday driving back and forth to Walker spending time with Doug's family. Overall traveling wasn't too bad and we did most of it in the daylight. We only saw three cars in the ditch and they were all on Saturday afternoon. Saturday Ethan went skating with Zach and got to shot some pucks after spending some time skating around the rink. He did a great job and had a lot of fun with Zach!
